All of our frequently asked questions, asked and answered.

We recommend finalizing your diamond selection 8-10 weeks before you want your ring completed in hand. This ensures you see the most up to date and accurate options available and leaves enough time for production, which takes 4-6 weeks as each ring is crafted by hand by our master bench jewelers. If you have a tighter deadline, we will do our best to accommodate.

Jewellery orders ship using courier 2-Day within South Africa and DHL International for international orders. Overnight is available for purchase on domestic orders. Shipping method selection does not expedite production time.

All jewellery shipments require signature on delivery.

Courier 2-Day: 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)

Courier Overnight: arrives the next business day from 10:30am-12:30pm (excluding weekends and holidays)

DHL International: 2-10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)

Prices and shipping fees for international orders do not include Import and Customs Duties, Value Added Taxes (VAT), tariffs, brokerage or other fees that may be levied by the destination country. Elysian Jewels is not responsible for these fees, nor for Customs-related delivery delays.

If the customer refuses delivery due to government-required costs from the destination country, incurred costs to return the package to sender are the responsibility of the purchaser.

The order recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws, regulations and restrictions of the destination country.

We are a dollar based company. Gold is denominated in U.S dollars. Therefore there is a relationship between the price of gold and the dollar, in that there can be an effect on gold prices as the value of the dollar rises and falls. And because we buy gold in dollar value the price therefore is accommodated to the value. We try very hard to keep our prices competitive with this in mind. However the exchange rate also effects when compared to the dollar.
